We contacted more than 65% of high propensity primary voters with fund raising mail. On average, these voters received 3 or more letters from Senator Rubio during the campaign. This mail program helped turn a 30 percentage-point deficit into a 20 percentage-point lead, while netting over $1,000,000 (from prospecting mailings). So not only was the mail effective in helping persuade voters, it paid for itself and added net funds to the campaign budget – an unbeatable combination!

    CHIP GATELY | Partner and President

    With thirty-eight years of national direct mail fundraising experience, Chip Gately is one of the leaders and innovators in the field. He began his career working for Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) in 1985 and then Bob Dole for President (1988). Since then, Chip has served as national marketing director for RNC Victory 96, the NRSC and Americans for Hope, Growth and Opportunity. As a consultant since 2000, Chip has applied his acumen on behalf of every national Republican campaign committee, dozens of Senatorial, gubernatorial and Congressional campaigns, and presidential candidates including Bob Dole, Steve Forbes, George W. Bush, John McCain and Rand Paul. Major clients have included Speaker John Boehner, Senator Marco Rubio, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Congressman Dan Crenshaw, Senator Rick Scott and Senator Josh Hawley. His work has been cited by Time magazine, the Manchester Union Leader, and the American Association of Political Consultants. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, he now resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife and three daughters. He received his bachelor of arts from Yale University.

    PATRICK MOONEY | Partner and Managing Director

    With 30+ years of direct response experience, Patrick Mooney brings a wealth of experience and industry-knowledge to Response America. Receiving formal training from The Leadership Institute, Pat began his career in the mid-1990s while working on campaigns in Texas, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. He continued his career path and served as an account executive for two well-known DC-based conservative fundraising agencies, putting his talents to use on behalf of conservative non-profits and Republican campaigns. As Managing Director, Pat serves as a top recruiter for new political clients and candidates. Since joining Response America in 2005, Pat’s expertise in creative design, copy writing, and list selection has helped to elevate the company’s standing. His recent clients include Senators Martha McSally (AZ), Jim Risch (ID), Tim Scott (SC), Rand Paul (KY), Governor Ron DeSantis (FL) , and U.S. Representatives Brian Mast, Michael Waltz, Nancy Mace, and Byron Donalds, among others. Other clients, past and present, include Lt. Col. Allen West, Sen. Rick Scott, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Dean Heller, Sen. Mike Crapo, Rep. Mia Love, Rep. Duncan Hunter, and Capt. Sam Brown. A native of Frederick, MD, Pat now resides in Jacksonville, Florida. He received his bachelor of science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1994.
